Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

Go Doha…. Honestly, no brainer for me, unless you are ready to give up on any life outside work, all year long
As BCG2 says below, this may not be true right now. Mostly local staffing in Doha.
And even if it were true, you’d get the perk of all-expenses paid travel (post-covid), including alt travel on the weekends to wherever is cheaper than going back to Doha if you’d like (not sure how far that gets you for Doha, but for Dubai, basically only the Americas are “out of bounds” and even then, you could probably pay the difference if you were desperate to spend your weekend flying back and forth).
It’s not that Doha is lower - it’s that Riyadh is higher. You can expect to see that from any firm in the region as they try to lure more people to be Riyadh based.
Got the Riyadh offer first and now the loss aversion really kicking in 😭

Also, if its 20% less, and 30k in Dollar terms, how he hell is that the offer 150kUSD? Thats Post MBA comp …
Go Riyadh
Could I DM you to understand your interview experience with the firm?
Sure!

Its a very easy decision, especially since you will be spending most of your time Riyadh (I assume your new to the industry, so let me explain)
Doha: Fly to client site, expense all meals, alternative travel to Europe/Asia/Etc. on weekends (post covid)
Riyadh: Take cab on your expense to client site, pay for your meals, no alternative travel
Please keep in mind though that Doha, as it was rather isolated the past years, might have mostly local staffing, which means you wont have any travel perks. Still Doha over Riyadh any day … Until they have completed further infra projects and eased restrictions on lifestyle, you will not want to spend any weekend ever in Riyadh, unless your getting paid 100%+ of other salaries, to afford flights out

Impressive but just shows how bad value prop in Riyadh will be. Consulting firms hate offering extra comp ;)
What level are you? What stage in life?
