Self assessment carries the least amount of weight.
With the 10 degree program, there is no differentiation and there is no self-assessment. So as it stands now, all staff on this program will get the same raise.
You can differentiate yourself by getting your CPA, producing high quality work papers, working tons of hours, being tolerable to be around, & effective communication.
you are talking about a difference of like 2% raise greater if you are high performer....not really worth the ass you need to kiss and the hours you need to work for 1200 bucks more pre tax paid in 24 installments over a year.
Staff do not all get the same raise.
Nothing is affected by the self assessment. It is the most pointless thing I fill out every year. Also, all staff get the same raise, but the point is that you can differentiate yourself with RAC awards. So if you get a "4" you should have more RAC money than someone who gets a "3"
^that totally depends on what manager or sr manager you work with. Some of them just send out the reward randomly when they approach its deadline.
10 degrees rolled out with this staff 1 class. It'll be the norm going forward and yes all staff 1s get the same raise with this program
10 degrees is the biggest joke ever
Rating definitely matters
um, staff do not receive bonuses. do you mean a larger raise? that differentiation is mostly done through your metrics and formal feedback in MDS but you can always try to do it in your self-assessment, it couldn't hurt
Staff 1 get a CPA bonus if they pass and Staff 2 can get a promo bonus. No PBB at EY.
EY 4 obviously I meant PBB, not CPA bonus or promo bonus, which btw is technically not given to staff 2, since it's paid out in October after promotion is in effect.
and I say "obviously" because the OP's question was whether their self-assessment would affect his "bonus," while neither bonus you mention would be affected by a self-assessment
But EY6, what does that matter? You still get the money. I'm a manager and I don't give RAC to people who don't deserve it
EY7 what's 10 degree program? are you an early adopter?
will it be applied to seniors and up eventually too? or only those hired from last year on? never heard of it before
It's a staff program replacing MDS. Only applies to staff.
EY5 Do you think a staff who provides high quality of work through out the whole engagement for couple months should get the same amount of reward money with the staff who randomly being put on helping for a week? I don't think so but that did happen. I'm a staff apparently I don't know what criteria you guys have for giving out rewards though. To me it's not a simple performance differentiator
It's totally up to the discretion of the person handing it out. No real "criteria". So maybe your issue is with the person handing it out, not the program
