As long as they are upfront about it not sure why it would impact salary. I know people who love to travel and some hate it. Also keep in mind it normally comes with perks such as airline/ hotel points/ status, and normally they pay for food when traveling so that’s a benefit of traveling.

I haven't, but I absolutely would. If I'm required to spend 25% of my year on the road, I expect to be compensated for it. Not just travel expenses, but a salary increase. That's a big burden, especially if you have a family that work is taking you away from.

Surprise travel is a dealbreaker. A couple of times a year is one thing. Constant travel is absolutely something that should be included in negotiations to see if it’s worth it for you or not. Are there roles where travel is a normal expectation? I wonder if that plays a part.
