I've worked as a Video Investment Associate for over a year, and I have another associate in my team that got promoted to the senior associate level (We started at the same time). I feel embarrassed/disappointed in myself for not getting the role as well. I'm sure they spoke with our director prior to get this position and I never did that. Even so, it makes me look at the team differently and I don't know if I should leave and apply elsewhere to be a senior associate or endure my outcome/stay.

Fellow finance fish, does anyone know if earning a CFA charter increases your odds of getting into a top 10 program? I had a middling GPA in undergrad and was thinking a CFA would help my earning potential as well as my chance of getting into a top program

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

Not a very active bowl are we? The others I’m in seem to be very creatively focused. So... what is your biggest source of professional anxiety?
