I've worked as an HR Generalist and Business Partner for over 15 years, and I'm ready to do something else. I have some pretty significant experience in compensation and I'd like to pivot into a role that's focused there. I know there are some certifications available through SHRM and World at Work - any thoughts from those in Comp whether these would compliment hands on work experience and if they might improve my chances of getting noticed for a role in Comp?

Brand Strategy/Planning roles aren't typical in PR. So every new Account hire arrives with no experience working with a Strategist. I'm tired of explaining/showing my role adds necessary value. I love strategy, but I have an offer at another agency to move into Account as Group SVP. They want to "customize" the role for my experience, but I'm afraid it will just be on paper and people will expect me to know things I just won't. I can't afford to be fired. Thoughts? Considerations? Watch-outs?

Everyone says that getting a Master's in cyber isn't worth the time/money. Certs are better. But surely an MS in cyber could benefit in some way. In what career path would a degree like this help?

I manage databases, input new information, solve issues utilizing root-cause analysis, and I maintain reports on a daily basis. The only thing I don’t do is work with coding such a SQL. I’m currently enrolled in Coursera Google Data Analytics Certification to learn more about SQL.

I’m currently a systems engineer (4-5 YOE in SE, 2 YOE in customer service before that) with BS in STEM, MS in Technical Mgmt.
