I’ve worked in private practice (litigation) and in-house in government, healthcare, and tech. I feel like Goldilocks before she found the third bear’s bed. And I think I’m just done, but I’m really struggling to identify any other marketable skills. I’ve now formed a business entity but have zero idea of what services I’m qualified to sell that aren’t legal. I was thinking maybe a registered agent business, lobbying, or some kind of consulting?? Anyone exiting into their own non-law business?

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

One of my junior associates recently resigned and I've been trying to make an exit myself for several months now. I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’d love to work in a law school setting as a counselor or something but I can’t afford the pay cut. *sigh* Does anyone feel like being a lawyer is just doing homework all day?
