I didn’t get anything but from my understanding, there is NHO next week for people hired in the last year and we will get some swag. I did get a backpack when they sent my laptop 🤷🏻♂️
I am in AWS, not sure about Amzn
You expect the company that prides itself on the efficiency with which they keep their costs down ~ like making employees assemble their own desks and backing ambulances up to sweltering warehouses instead of springing for A/C~ to give you something? How about a paycheck? Would that do it for you?

D1 - I don't understand how it's unethical to hire from another company? How do you expect anyone to get a job (out of new campus grads) if it's unethical for a company to hire others' employees.
Thanks all. I did get a laptop bag. Just expected a “warmer” welcome. But is gucci.. the first paycheck better make up for that ;)
It's always monthly
I joined AWS bangalore yesterday. I went to office for onboarding (though going to office was optional) I got a goody bad
A beautiful joot bag Inside which there was a diary , pen, a very beautiful coffee mug with warmer and spoon and an amazon water bottle. Bottle is already taken by my kid. So yes they have a goodies box.
May be. I am really not sure. Whosoever I know , who joined amazon, they got some kind of welcome gift. But again can't speak for everyone
I didn’t get anything when I moved over but I have more Amazon shirts, bags, mugs, jackets, masks, and other stuff that I would have barely noticed.

No. There's nothing that's implemented across the board currently with WFH (which seems more like a savings thing rather than an oversight). I heard prior to the pandemic, people were flown in for orientation in Seattle and were given goodies. You get your laptop in a backpack and a headset and that's it.
Don’t do it!! I know a lot of former coworkers that went and they regret it.
People who regret it are generally people who struggle and aren’t successful.
I won’t say there aren’t exceptions or that everything is always rainbows and it can be uncomfortable, but discomfort is generally where growth comes from.
