Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

You’ve accepted but haven’t given notice? You don’t have to go through with it. You’ll likely burn a bridge and it won’t look or feel good, but if your gut is telling you it’s wrong, I’d listen to it
Totally normal feeling. Candidly you just won’t know if it’s a mistake until a while after you’ve started at the new firm, and what you’re feeling now is just the subconscious realization of that. Fact is that leaving any good paying job voluntarily is a risk, and it’s very normal to have some lingering doubt about whether you’re doing the right thing. I’ve lateralled twice and felt similar things even though I knew each time I couldn’t stay at the firm I was leaving for various reasons.

was this a thoughtful process? important to trust your gut, but have faith in your decision process.

Yeah. The process was a month long.
I accepted an offer and immediately regretted it. Started the job and hated it. Left within 8 months and went to a firm that I love more than either of the other two.

Same. I instantly regretted accepting the offer, and on the first day I realized I was at the wrong place. I wish I had started looking earlier because it was my first lateral move I thought I had to wait a year at least then got fired before I could lateral again.
Is the regret because you have concerns or a bad feeling about the new firm? Or is it because you will miss your old firm?
If the latter, I went through this last year and was truly devastated when giving notice and leaving. Like, my partner was about to drag me to the doctor because I didn’t eat or sleep for several days—I acknowledge this is pathetic. But ultimately the new firm gave me everything I was hoping for (so far), and I’m much more supported and successful now by every metric. And I keep up with lots of folks from my old firm, which is great for networking purposes and genuine enjoyment of each other’s company. So if it’s just sadness about the “breakup” side of things, I get that it’s difficult but strongly encourage you to push past it.
If you have a bad gut feeling about the new firm, that’s a different issue and I’ll leave that for others to address.
Not sure how OP reached that the conclusion. I generally think that you won't truly know a place until you have been there for at least a year. But if OP sees red flags, that's a different story.
