Really it depends on how you interview. If you convince them that you’re SM material, sure.
Depends on your qualifications, specifically sales pipeline and managed revenue the past year. That’s the biggest differentiator between MGR and SMGR. Leadtime for SMGR recruiting tends to be longer since you’ll be required to interview with many executive directors and partners. I got a title bump moving from Accenture Strategy to EY so it’s possible.

I think Deloitte managers can come in as SM based on their experience. EY does have some really crappy SM and I am not sure how they even survive in consulting
If you are home grown, then all that matters is who you know. What you know does not really matter at that point
