Just arrived to Europe on a talent visa, while at the airport in the US I was told they wouldn’t let me on the flight because my visa is only good for 3 months as I have to request residency in my new country upon arrival, and until then, I’m technically only here for three months—so I had to buy a return flight at the desk to get on my flight, and now I have to cancel it.
Anyone gone through this before? I was so confused. Hoping I get a refund for that flight.

I’m not sure when is the best time to cancel the return flight, perhaps after I get approved for a residency permit, so I can show the airline company I had no choice?

The tricky part would be cancelling it not the timing - check ticket T&C. Now that you’ve already flown it might be better to just “no show”.

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then? For those of you who have been through this process, what was the overall timeline like?. Appreciate any insights you can help provide! TY!

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

Good Morning. Here's my dilemma. I have an approved H1B application which got picked up in 2019-20 lot and approved in Jan 2020, before the world went into lockdown. I have watched patiently about all the regulations Trump Administration brought in to deny any entry to H1B applicants who weren't already working in the states or who were waiting to return.
