Accepted to UMich Ross, Waitlisted UVA Darden, rejected from others. 1/1/6. Was going to apply to NYU Trium and Kellogg, but I think I am happy with Ross, including schedule and GI bill benefits.
Thanks!
Rejected by both already, at least there was a quick turn around.
Had my Darden GEMBA interview on Monday. I thought it went well, waiting for results at end of this month for Wharton and Darden. I finished up my MIT application but have no idea when they release decisions except for “at least 4 weeks”
Waitlisted at Darden, 0 for 6, waiting on MIT.
Did you hear from MIT? Their round 3 is end of May and they get 40% of candidates in this round. I’m guessing it should be most impacted by COVID19 - thereby having a weaker round 3
They actually put out some admissions numbers for last year during Thursday’s webinar/virtual class that I attended. 450 applications 126 class size. They probably make offers to 140-150. So between 28-33% acceptance rate. Way more competitive last year for EMBA than any year before. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that applications to top schools doubled last year.
Rejected from MIT. 0/7. Submitted to Ross and working on Kellogg and Stern apps now.
Finished up my apps to Yale, Booth, Wharton. Still haven’t heard from Yale, Booth invite to interview this Friday, Wharton don’t expect to hear back until March as I did my interview with them already.
I got rejected by Sloan today. Thought I had a shot.
Nothing is a backup to anything else. All the programs I applied to were good for my goals. The only program that wasn’t top in my mind was Darden. MIT application deadline is later so I have time to see Booth results.
What are your GMAT scores ?
EA was a 155
Rejected from Booth today
Going to finish up MIT and Darden apps this week
Update on this journey?
Update on the status? Wharton results are out already.
Same. 2020 hasn’t been good.
Rejected by Wharton. I’m down to Darden and Sloan, 5 rejections out of 7. Makes me feel like I’m just not the right candidate for an EMBA
I have no interest in Sydney but thank you. I’ll keep attempting the top schools until I get what I want.
I think COVID19 situation could make next year easier as it will restrict disposable income flow in an uncertain economy
Yeah you’re right. Next year will see a surge in apps. The kind of crowd that can afford EMBA will not be affected by COVID
