Just got a bunch of herbs to plant in my soon garden "beds/boxes" (55 gallon barrels cut lengthwise.) I will have 3 halves to plant the ten herbs in them. They are: Garden Sage (2), Lemon Balm(1), Lavender (2), Chocolate Mint (1), Spearmint (1), and I think just Mint (1), Chamomile (1), and Thyme(1).
I plan on one mint in each "bed" and the others will be dispersed likewise.
I could use Google but, do you happen to know if I should not "house" any of these together, or which ones would be best t

With a few exceptions, herbs don't have a problem growing with other herbs. Just don't crowd any of them too close to each other so that they have room to grow.

Mint will absolutely take over any space that's given. I would consider growing Mint only in a separate pot because you'll be pulling it up constantly. Even with that precaution, it has spread to three other pots

Do not plant the mint in those beds. Plant the mint in a separate pot.

Thank you for the heads up

How did you end up planting these?

Lemon balm is also an aggressive spreader

And I would make sure that the lavender has its own soil with more sand and better drainage. Lavender rots in potting soil and prefers rocky, sandy soil with little nutrition.

As it’s been getting colder I’ve been dabbling in soups. This is a brie and mushroom soup paired with balsamic onion & mushroom toast. It was super tasty and really hit the spot. It can also be used in place of cream of mushroom from a can in recipes if you’re looking for a different taste.

Help me with my struggle!

I'm in Oklahoma, and an avid Aldi shopper. Prior to COVID, my favorite merlot was routinely stocked there - under $6 a bottle and better than many $30 bottles I've had. It was by Burlwood Cellars. Sadly, supply chain issues have apparently done a number on Aldi's wine selection and it's not carried there anymore. I've searched high and low for a comparable merlot, but to no avail. So I need alternate suggestions or better still, somewhere I can buy my old fav.

I’m trying to buy my first house and my wife and I have a few IRAs from previous employers (Roth and non Roth). I read I won’t be penalized if I take out upto 10k from my IRAs for a first time house (except for taxes on the non-Roth accounts). Anyone know how true this is, how the process works, or have any advice? Is it a good idea

Capital gains tax rate - I know there are diff rates (0/15/20) depending on income threshold but is the threshold based solely on “earned income” (i.e., wage)? Hello folks, I’m after some advice please. I recently bought a couple of indoor plants and added to the cart what I think is a very expensive bottle of natural mist to use on the leaves. All organic, glass bottle etc. supposed to use it 2-3 times per week but 2 weeks in I’m down to half a bottle and it was £15 (approx $20). I understand that I need to nurture the plants but it strikes me as a rather expensive mist. Is there anything you’d recommend I can use instead? Thanks.
