just got laid off due to market conditions, any advice beyond what i plan on doing:

1) reaching back out and reconnecting with recruiters
2) update and polish my resume
3) sending out LinkedIn messages to firms or companies of interesting and targeting either recruiters or managers to network with
4) applying for unemployment on my official date of termination
5) scouting out and looking for listings and positions I might have missed using ai
6) leveraging my existing network for referrals

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

How can I sell my 2 years of clerkship as valuable experience for corporate work? I would like to get credit for at least one year (at least in salary, if I can’t in seniority). I know for litigation they are more clearly valued and linked to that type of work, but I have reconsidered my interests and now am thinking of going into corp.
