Deloitte GPS people - have you all adopted a new hiring process? I started the hiring process back in March, successfully completing my interviews early Feb. My recruiter reached out 2 weeks ago saying they wanted to extend an offer but needed to go through a new process. It sounds like the previous process usually took 48 hours to turn around an offer so at 2 weeks I’m curious what’s going on. Any insights are much appreciated!

As for a catch up with the principal to discuss this. Calmly explain that you had come onto the project to address a key DO and that you would appreciate having the opportunity to do that. Describe what partner told you. Suggest solution e.g. perhaps there is a way you could do pmo and then quant by dividing your role into two phases?
Have the conversation with your Principal. Top of mind for them is positioning people on the team for how best to get the project done, and they're not always aware of your motives (or what a partner/staffing sold you on) when you joined the case. I've never seen a situation where we can't carve out something to help you address an AFD.
Dont effing settle for PMO. Ask for the quant role and say you'll spend 20% of additional time on PMO-ing specific pieces (hopefully around yoir quant role).
Speak with your TM and CA. It may not be something that can be changed immediately, but they should be able to facilitate something.

Thanks FB much appreciate the help. I mentioned to the principal there may have been some miscommunication regarding the role as the partner (who is also my career advisor) asked me to join the project for exactly the quant aspect. Principal said he was aware, and that was the end of the conversation. Pretty frustrated as I'm far ahead of progress on all other metrics besides quant because I never got exposure which just sucks. Have asked for a quant project for 6 months now
Just curious....but are in the finance section..what exactly is a quant heavy role?
