I'm into Salesforce with 6.2yrs of experience working as a Sr. Developer having the current CTC as 14lpa. And got an offer from Mindtree for the same Sr. Developer position(C3- Module Lead), as Lead position requires minimum 7yrs of experience. They offered me a package of 19.2lpa. Is this worthy? Please suggest how much can I expect from them? Also how is the hike cycle in Mindtree ? Mindtree
Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

My advice... run from them. They legally couldn't extend that offer without the position being vacant and they couldn't extend the offer out to any other potential candidate without the previous one turning it down. Something is off with their hr team and you should avoid them.
My advice would be to evaluate your current job search and financial conditions. If you can find another job fairly quickly, run away, If you don't have anything in sight I would take it temporarily and then run away. I would not work for a company that pulls these sorts of tricks.

I'd review them on Glassdoor and say they bait and switched you because that's essentially what they did. That's shameful behavior on their part and others deserve not to experience this same abhorrent behavior that you also didn't deserve, OP.
Take the job, then subvert your new boss so that they quit and then take over.
Do whatever
HR🥴
To summarise a few other points: they breached your contact the moment you signed it. It shows they have no intention of honouring any contract they give you.
You will gain nothing but stress if you pursue the job further, but do report them any way you can. GlassDoor, applicable government body (if any), etc.
Run away
Actually I would not suggest that you just leave, go to CCMA open a case there and have the matter settled there so u get a nice settlement then leave them.
Don't just leave freely they will continue doing that nonsense to other people, they must know that there are consequences in labour law.
It depends on how bad you need a job. If your bills are lapsing and your credit is in jeopardy take it and keep looking. Then leave when you find something better.
According to my understanding is a senior technical recruiter with over four decades of experience, they owe you in full for the amount agreed to for the term of the original offer letter, at minimum. Short-term, it may be worth your while to accept that offer modified to your original salary, tell them it's non-negotiable even though it may be depending upon your circumstances, and then also get a mandatory review date with salary increase...
Continuing from above, assuming you actually want to work for these people seeing how they're unethically manipulating offers that are legally binding from their side unless there's clauses in place stating otherwise, such as as is, etc... definitely consider with you on a work for these people long time or whether it's the action of one particular person who got themselves in a jam, which happens more frequently than you can imagine... My final advice is to keep your resume updated, continue looking, and get as much money out of them as quickly as you can.
I say take the job... the person who was hired above you might not be there long and then you will be the next in line. Not all opportunity in life is black and white... read between the lines. Most importantly, use your intuition. If this opportunity might be the best one for a while, take it. You can always quit. You have many choices. Keep a door open. Keep us posted! Good luck, Darla

Don't accept the offer.
You seriously have to ask what to do here?
No, I don't "seriously have to ask what to do here". There are many ways someone can respond to a situation. Receiving advice allows someone to think about the best path forward instead of rushing headlong with their first reaction and potentially making matters worst. Perhaps you weren't taught to think before you act.
Hi juat for queries, does anyone here heard about S4 shipping and S4 construction..does.tgis company is good for applying..a job thank you
What’s the name of the company? Drag them publicly and wherever you can. Use the names of those involved

Sign but continue look for new job... something better than nothing
I guess my question would be how long did you wait to sign the offer? If you were given a specific time frame to sign and missed it, they would move on to the next candidate.

At least one person in the comments below stated that the true employment contract would not include the phrase "at will" within the text. This is simply not a rule. There are many "at will" employment states, and "right to work" states. The funny thing is that "right to work" is the same thing as "at will" for the purposes of workers' rights. The push was to claim that people who did not want to join a union would still be allowed to work for an employer, however, the practice is that the employer is then able to fire people for trying to promote a union (and they do, usually under some other policy).
