OP, I usually get an itch after 1 year too and honestly I do the smallest amount of scratching that itch. I’ll start passively looking for no other reason than just cause. Sometimes that scratches the itch, sometimes I apply and just see what happens. Nothing has to come from any of it

And to OP, yeah sometimes I get that 1 year itch, but I mostly just ignore and keep pushinggg because grass is always greener. Sometimes I just chat with people in the agency who love it or talk to friends who hate their job to remind me I’m good!
OP, do you have career goals/plan for yourself at 5-10yrs-retirement? How does that align with the 1 year at your current employer? If you don't have a plan that gives what you're doing a meaning, things will always seem meaningless. If you don't have direction or purpose professionally, maybe do some evaluation of that and see what comes up for you.
This cracks me up. But then the pendulum swings way the other way with @account director 1, the only person left in the industry who knows what the hell they will be doing when they “retire”.

Yes I get the 1 year itch. And not because I want a participation award... it’s because I’m just a restless person. I think the majority of people seek comfort and new jobs/cities are scary.
