Just received an interview invitation for LEK Associate position for tomorrow. They said I will have one case interview focusing on Quant and one focusing on strategy. Can anyone elaborate on the difference and the best way to prepare? Also any insight on Houston office vs LA office? Are projects office based? TIA!

You will definitely get a market sizing question, so study those hard. For why LEK, good answers show that you know why we're different (heavy PE exposure, shorter case lengths, a sector you're interested in). And then when I lead interviews, great candidates separate themselves by walking me through their assumptions (eg., I'm using X because I infer this and this)
Thank you!
My quant was market sizing, strategy’s more like a typical case
Rocket Blocks was good for market sizing prep
Good luck!!
Thank you!

Following! I wanna jump to LEK in the future
Houston is tiny and new. La is bigger than houston but smaller than the rest i believe. Right now we are cross staffed so you get on all sorts of projects with different offices
I see. Thank you so much!
I’m in the LA office; have been in other US offices. The LA office is by far the best from a cultural standpoint.
We used to staff by office 90% of the time; that’s now significantly lower (although usually still same time zone). LA is primarily media and entertainment and life sciences, with some random dd’s. General feedback is that LS has far better hours and better people.
Houston has basically no culture; it’s new and the partners were generally not LEK grown. It’s also a lot smaller. I expect when staffing becomes more office specific, the diversity of cases will be limited.
That makes much more sense especially Houston office is really new. Really appreciate it!
Did you get a second round?
Gl to you too!
