Hi fishes Will work from home in FIS continue atleast upto Dec 2022? Any idea? FIS Global
I got offer in Bangalore FIS and my husband got an offer with one big company in Hyderabad. Both companies are currently WFH only but in future, I might have to consider moving to Hyderabad. Fis doesn't have office in Hyderabad so I was wondering if I can ask permanent WFH later. I guess I will be put in fis payment solution.
Thanks in advance. Kindly let me know. FIS Global

Is it okay to call a sick day as freelancers?
Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Fellow ACD who’s stuck his foot in his mouth on occasion. It depends on how bad the gaff was, honestly. And what you do to fix it.
I screwed up pretty bad at a gig once (thought the ECD was a guy and used he/him all over the place for the first week there). Someone clued me in that the ECD was a woman, I promptly send her an apology, and the agency still reaches out for repeat freelance gigs to this day.
Own your mistakes, apologize, and just move forward. You’ll be fine.
Yeah, just give it time. Your perception of how primary the gaffes are/were are probably exaggerated. Just move forward. This too will pass. ✌🏼
Heard this on a podcast and it stuck with me.
Whenever I think of something cheeky or ribbing to say, I stop and ask myself 3 questions.
Does this need to be said?
Does this need to be said right now?
Does this need to be said right now by me?
Talk to perceived offended party and apologize. Let them know your nerves got the best of you. Follow up by being the cool, dope, self-aware person you are moving forward.

Writing this in a post it note and putting it on my screen lol
Don’t overthink it. We all remember our embarrassing moments but not others. Plus you work with these people so every new day is a chance to make a better impression.

Thank you 😭
Nerves can create impulsivity and that’s just fact and hopefully you can find some way to give yourself grace by reminding yourself you’re not wired to be like this and your behaving in a ‘survival’ mode. Also hopefully your new colleagues can give you some grace too by taking into consideration that you’re new and nervous…and if they don’t that’s kind of shitty of them. But my advice is to lay low for a while and speak when necessary. Take a breath and just observe people at first, learn the rules of that culture and how each new colleague contributes to the whole team. When you learn the players you learn where to insert yourself into the system with more certainty in yourself. Rn I think your magnetizing the moments you fumbled the social interaction and feel the anxiety you’re feeling now bc you might not know these people individually or their role in the whole dynamic there now.
You got this. You can come back from this without bringing attention to the embarrassing moments and giving it more importance than needed. Time will go on and more encounters and experiences will come where you’re confident in yourself. It’s okay.
First off, congrats on the new job! First days are learning curves for everyone. Give yourself some grace and try not to overanalyze. You got this!
Time in trenches together is how coworkers bond. First impressions only matter with client.
Gawd, this me. Except I got told on to HR. Like you, I also tried to prove myself and I came off as too blunt and slight micromanage. This is all within 3 weeks. I had pressure to close out some work tho.
I’m glad someone said something to me so I’m more self aware but it’s devastating. I think I blew a promotion and ended up letting people down.
But in the end, I just hope I don’t fired. I’m there for growth as this job is a stepping stone.
Great advice. I just need to shut my mouth. So hard being ADHD.
ADHD aka ‘post social anxiety cringe disorder’!!!
I’m sure you’re fine but when I start somewhere new I normally reveal my personality in stages. After a year they’re at stage 4 and have probably accepted me but out of the gate no one is ready for my sarcasm.
Good job being able to hold back.
I accidentally dropped the spoiler to a tv show at a lunch with the ceo. Fired 2 weeks later.

Can you elaborate so we can see if you really fucked up (or you are just being paranoid) or how badly it was?
You might want to consider what it means to prove yourself. Poking holes in a brief can come off as not being a team player, depending on the context. Sometimes proving yourself can look like having your teammates' backs, and yes-and-ing them in constructive ways
That’s very ACD of you. You’re fine, onward!
