Keep hearing that most exits in LCOL cities will take a payout if you’re a PL, but that there are a lot of roles that are remote, job market is hot, etc. so that most PLs are getting a pay bump. How do you reconcile these two?

High paying remote roles are very uncommon.

In what industries? I thought Manager/junior partner exits were generally getting pay raises in biotech/pharma and tech, where most roles are remote, no?

Seems like you’ve already reconciled those two, no?

I’m not seeing how both can be true, so seeing if I’m missing some interpretation here

I got a pay bump to 360k going to a MCOL city

Looking for guidance. I’ve been in people manager roles (in director/senior leader capacity) for the last 5 years now, and prior to that I was a “rockstar” Project Manager. I’ve worked really hard to get to the position I’m in today, but I’ve been recently asked to move from my current role to a senior IC role to take on a highly visible Program for the company, with some very senior stakeholders. I feel conflicted as it does feel like I would be backtracking in many ways. Thoughts?

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.
