Laid off. I’d like to temp/freelance (for cheap) somewhere I can learn digital at the technical level at a much more junior role. Possible? So many digital jobs and I can’t qualify for many of them.

From your exp, how many days have google taken to get back after your initial screening conversation with recruiter? I spoke last Friday and thymes haven’t gotten back, this wait has been killing me. Last conversation was I will share my notes, your profile with the hiring manager and get back.
Had a phone interview with hiring manager last Thurs. Thought the conversation went well and the recruiter said she will be in touch as soon as she gets feedback from the manager. Now it’s Tues and nothing. Is this bad? Or am I just being too antsy? Do I need to chill out?😖

What is the best message when informing the rest of your company that someone was terminated? The backstory is that this employees performance has been struggling, he was put on a PIP, and in recent convos, he’s said that his role isn’t for him. As he is getting terminated due to performance, it feels more amicable now that he knows it’s not working and that he needs to find a new job. Thoughts on message to the rest of the company?
Why has this year been bad for consulting? Layoffs- lot of folks on bench-the economy hasn't really tanked compared to last few years- thoughts?
Due to Covid & a new VP, everything is changing at my company & senior reps are being micromanaged like new hires. Seniors are quitting and being fired like nothing I’ve ever seen. Anyone else?
Hi to all the mamas who have been laid off! I’ve been laid off since the start of this whole mess and wondering what other mamas (especially the single ones like me) are doing/thinking/feeling about their next steps? Just looking for some comrades here as I’m feeling a little daunted at the fact that no one is hiring right now. Anyone need any score work/music for their projects? At this point, I’m super happy to do spec work just to keep busy and feel creative still.
When I start interviewing post-layoff, how do I explain my departure date? Firm doesn't tell prospective employers WHY I left if they call for background checks, just when- so I can spin the why.
For those who moved from agency to client side - I'm considering a client side director media role. I'm currently a VP group director on the agency side. In terms of title/level is this a move down, lateral or up? Understand it's a different type of experience but want to understand if people consider this a "step back".
At what point do you know that it’s time to leave a new position? I have always excelled in my previous jobs and left a cushy position for this agency. But since day one, I have been struggling to adjust. I started not long after lockdown began in my city, and am starting to regret taking this new job. I’m used of multitasking, constant stress, and looming deadlines at work. But I can’t seem to get the hang of things here. I am in constant fear of getting fired. I can’t sleep, eat. Help?!
Any suggestions on Reading curriculum to use in a Self-Contained (setting 4) EBD classroom? We are looking for something that is not online based.
I emphasized “please” with asterisks in 4th email to client IT group on project critical inquiry that was going unanswered. Client complained to account exec about this. Out of line?
Need help! Do corporate attorneys draft a real estate development company’s LLC agreement? Or do real estate lawyers primarily handle this work? It’s a small client. May need to refer to a small firm.

I’m a 40-hr/week temp who wants to stay that way rather than moving to full time status. My employment agreement has a date that our engagement is “expected to end,” but it says that it may be extended. It’s at will and can be terminated by either party at any time. The way things go here, the client, the hours: I want to keep my nice little 8 hour bubble with overtime. So when the time comes, can I reject any FT offer and force them to continue as is or terminate?
