Recently this bowl just feels like the ZS bowl 2.0

Haha. That’s a good sign then!
Yea ZS primarily staffs locally. It’s fine now since everything is over Zoom, but they likely will ask you to be close to the office you’re hired in.
Tips for the interview (beyond the typical stuff that would apply to any firm). Share depth of client relationships and expertise in health plan space. The team interviewing you will know the issues but will want to know that you can go into depth about whatever topics you’re discussing. Also discuss your impact on biz dev - the more specific you can get (of course keeping client confidentiality) the better. Finally, the team is smaller relative to the more mature and established biz in life sciences but is growing fast - so you’ll need to describe and demonstrate why you will thrive in that entrepreneurial mode NOW.

Yes, thank you. This is really helpful.
I think it depends on what role you’re interviewing for as well. Associate, associate consultant, or consultant will probably have to relocate. Manager, AP, or P is probably fine where they are.
Salary band is probably $150-$220k

I am aiming for M level but they sent a JD for C level. I have over a decade of payer/provider exp.
Is the job posting for an east coast office or a California office? If it’s for east coast I’d think that you would need to eventually relocate once we are back to working in the office.

I don’t have the original job posting. It’s a referral directly to a partner.
I passed on a role last year coz the recruiter strongly recommended moving to their NJ office

Just talked to Principal today, focus is definitely on East coast but doesn’t matter which office. Or the Midwest.
Payer/provider is healthcare ecosystems practice area I guess which has most people in west coast. I know like 5 6 people in East coast
The more you know 😅 . I never heard of this pod/team in last 5 year.

I’ve talked to folks at ZS who were based in NJ and Boston on the HPP team. Looking forward to talking to more of them.
I am a lowly A but in NYC but my role is based in SF. Their conclusion was that I can work remote until they eventually reopen which is at the earliest April.

Got rejected for not being more hands on technical. They interviewed me for a solution delivery consultant role, while I am an MBA type. Not sure about the disconnect?!?

I’m so sorry to hear that.
