Anyone at BlackRock could advise me : I recently received an offer from them and background check is 75% done as per the recruiter and I can hand in my notice to the current employer. Do you recommend I should do it now or wait for background check to complete successfully? I have not done this before, so any guidance much appreciated. TIA! BlackRock

I dislike the “it’s not goodbye it’s see you later,” it’s lame — skip it!
The most meaningful was when a beloved boss left (and I was quietly flipping out about losing her) — she looked me in the eyes and said, “You’re in my network for life.” I knew she meant it and it was very moving to hear that explicitly from my mama bear
Short and sweet for the all staff, don’t try too hard, a nice thank you and your contact detail.
You can be more creative if you send an email to a smaller amount of people.
Whatever you do avoid the spammy all staff thread of reply all to a pseudo witty goodbye email
None.

The best one was an art director that did a video with every “thank you” slide on the decks that he made.
We usually had very well crafted decks and we always added a little love on the last page to finish with a little wink. It was nice but also annoying, because that very often happened late at night when after we finished everything.
So his email was both sweet and snarky.
"I'm sorry for your loss—it's me."
Not sure you can do a ‘best’ in this category. You’re leaving and probably causing more work for people. So keep it short and sweet as others have said, and I’ll add sincere to the list. No point in platitudes and it can feel weird.
As for the most memorable…it was someone who clearly was frustrated who sent a video clip of “Miss me when I’m Gone” to the entire agency.
Don’t send one. Live a life of mystery!
It wasn’t an email but i got a standing ovation walking out of Tribal DDB. (I think they were glad to finally be rid of me)
It’s the best exit I’ve received!

Short. With a link to your LinkedIn.
They are all the same. Just say goodbye in person to your friends and allies and leave everyone else’s inbox free of one less email.
One or two sentences.
Post this and you’re a legend.

Short and professional is ideal.
Something to the effect of “I’m going out for cigarettes, anyone need anything” as a hilarious example.
Put on a fedora and tench coat. Turn to face everybody. Sternly say, “Ok Son, Dad is just headed out for some cigarettes! Remember, I’ll always love you!” Slam the door. Make sure they can hear your car tires on the street outside.
I BCCd on mine and let the handful
of folks know that they were the shit and the only thing that actually made the place fun/special. Don’t put people through the chain pain. Plus, makes them feel special for being on your ‘list’.
