I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Honestly I put response criteria into tiers. 1) if they directly influence my promotions I respond immediately 2) if they have strong influence in my area or in my projects I respond quickly 3) if they’re assisting with my projects I respond reasonably and 4) anything else I likely won’t answer unless they ping incessantly or I think they’ll escalate to category 1 or 2
- First of all, if you have teams/outlook installed on your mobile, pls turn their notifications off. Receiving pings every now and then or looking at emails first thing in the morning, increases anxiety. It helped me, might help you too.
- take a break, go out, watch a movie, disconnect from work life, it is needed.
- set up clear working hours, time for walk, gym, listening to music or any hobby. Keep a little bit of everything in your schedule, not just work
It’s tough! While I haven’t perfected it by any means, I have done a few things to help: (1) turn off the pop ups from your messaging apps and email so you don’t see them while you’re concentrating (2) set up rules on emails to group by client or other grouping so when you do check them you can tackle by topic/client (3) learn to nicely say “no” or “can this wait until later”. The more I ask people if a question can wait a few hours, the more I find they magically sort it out themselves.
It really is hard to figure out the best way to balance everything. I do try to take time throughout the day to prioritize those notifications, some really are right now urgent, but the majority can wait or isn’t crucial for me to drop everything and respond. Constant interruption is the bane of my day.
