I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

I guess I’m confused. Why would brown bags and meet ups and learning new tools end up on your resume? What are you putting them under like special skills? Developing your professional and networking skills are great but that doesn’t feel like something would go on your resume.

My goal is to show that I can be the person, manage up and put on multiple hats. Going upstream, management is all about talking to people and convincing them to do things in a certain appropriate way to reach an end goal.

I would put major achievements on the resume and mention everything else in the interview.
I kind of like this idea. It'll be interesting to look back over the course of the year and see how much you were able to accomplish by having these little experiments running. I think I might consider doing something like this with my own career.

Trying to take some Orthodox in this age of AI might be a way to show recruiters that a resume is not AI-made, maybe 🤷🏻♂️
