Need advice: I just joined a pharma company <1 year ago with a promotion likely in 1 yr. I’m in a commercial role at the TA level, making 250k. However, I just got an offer to join a different company’s medical affairs team, with >400k TC. Is the career trajectory of commercial worth making less money?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?

Any advice on breaking out of accounting roles? I am in restructuring which I thought would be more interesting strategy work but it’s been just compliance, legal, little modeling. Corporate roles don’t seem to have any interest in the experience either.

Why is it so hard to find a remote HR position? I have my SHRM-SCP, my MBA and over 10 years of experience being an HR Manager.

I have 2 options. Start as Staff in PA or financial analyst in industry. ( media entertainment). Which would you choose? Will I be pigeon holed if I do the financial analyst position since media entertainment in socal is limited to just 2 corps?
