Do what you want to do. Everyone has a different route in life. PA isn’t for everyone
Congrats!
Memories are short especially memories of first years. Be nice on your way out but no one will really care and certainly not enough to hold it against you long term.

Just do it, it’s your career
Why did you start in public...

I believe it may be true in other states, but I was talking in Texas with Texans who had always lived in Texas...so I guess maybe the rules changed over time...
I’m wondering the same thing, I have offer in my hand asked for change of team but it’s not happening I had issues with this team since the beginning now that I have an offer in my hand they’re trying to work with me
Tbh who cares about your bridges as a first year. Just be polite and professional when you do it. Also no offense but they’ll probably be okay, you’re easily replaceable at this stage
I completely agree with what everyone is saying - do what’s best for you... but one thing to consider - you have a looooong career ahead of you. Monthly close gets old really quick. I hope it’s a company and position that will keep you challenged so you aren’t just reviewing the same journal entries month after month.
Basically, I will be doing more business related tasks with some accounting as we outsource most of our accounting to CPAs. Constant moving parts with acquisitions to new businesses and expansion of current.
Go for it.
You're early in your career and recognized an opportunity in your hand.
Nobody will be begging for you to stay, they'll find someone else to take over your work.

As others have mentioned, you won’t be burning bridges, do what’s right for you, but there’s a huge amount of title inflation going on.
If that’s what you want, no opinions are needed
