Anyone have any ideas of the salary ranges in risk advisory at a director level at BDO? I saw a job post for a position in a new practice area and it looks like the position would be tasked with building out a team. Also would be grateful for insight into BDO’s work culture / work-life balance.

Can search other threads for more accurate figures but this is my understanding of LEK comp:
-Associates (3-4 years): ? TC I think around 80-110k
-Consultant (1.5-2 years): 165k base, 200k TC
-EM (1.5-2 yr), Senior EM (1 yr), Principal (1 yr): ~200k base, up to 450k TC depending on level

What about costs of benefits in US vs UK?
Of course LEK
Salary, exits and reputation are much better.
1. Pay is lower at Putnam
2. wlb is in my experience significantly better (830-6pm are the working hours, work outside these times are not encouraged. I’ve had only 3 weeks in the past 6 months where I had to work late nights till 9pm ish)
3. Culture is that of a small firm, very tight knit.
In life sciences WLB not too different due to the low number of DD projects.
Culture depends on your team. Both firms have smart people, overall good culture.
WLB worlds apart so depends how much weight you give the salary differential
Which role for each?
Culture / WLB better?
