Let’s say I moved to a new state in Jan 2020 to take a new position with my existing company (new job at same company). I get laid off in July 2020 by this company. I was going to leave end of August 2020 anyway due to starting an MBA program, and they knew this. Am I eligible for unemployment for July and August?

Is it difficult landing an in-house position as only a second year corporate associate in big law? I know some people who went in-house straight out of law school and some who had no transactional background but went in-house after just a year of practice. Not having that same luck on my end.

There are a lot of UX educational programs out there, some very new, e.g. Dribbble, and costs are all over the place - General Assembly is $15k (and full-time), CareerFoundry almost $8k, and then many others at a fraction of the price. Reviews also vary wildly. Are these more expensive programs worth the huge increase in cost?

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. Just how bad would it be to quit without a two week notice? I’ve been bait & switched into a horrible role, overworked to the point of having medical problems, and no amount of diplomatic talks with my manager has improved the day to day. My mental health and my personal relationships have been on a steady decline.

So pissed! Paid tax firm $400 to file my taxes in 3 multiple states, they didn’t file my non resident NY tax efile saying i have to do it myself. Without providing the reason why and any instructions on how to do so, just saying it’s in its in the bundle prepared, just file it yourself. I cant even figure out how to file it on my own.
