Cisco interviewed me for 3 months for a couple of roles and then offered me comp that is considerably less than my current comp for a product manager role!! They also said its cisco policy to not offer rsu for mcol cities. Rsu is apparently only meant for candidates in hcol cities.
Need to punch a bag every day for several days to get over this bs.
Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. Fantastic wlb and benefits - top 3 in SV. Comp is on par with FAANG bizops - not great if you’re coming from MBB but around the same adjusted for the number of hours worked. L3/L4 ranges from $160k - $230k TC.

TC is correct. Standard offers for Associate are $115K Base + $100K Stock / 4 years + 10% Bonus so $152K.
Senior Associate is $135K Base + $140K Stock / 4 years + 10% Bonus so $185K.
But Associate is 2-4 years of experience and Senior Associate is 4-7 years. There are SAs making $220K for example at $145K base + 10% bonus + $60K stock per year so the scale is wide enough to support.

C2 is generally right, but not sure where the disconnect is on some of the finer points.
LinkedIn BizOps does have analysts in BizOps both through its undergraduate S&A program and also direct hire Analysts but this is relatively rare (2 joined in past 2 weeks). I was one as well. Analyst is L2.
BizOps Associate is L3 and Senior Associate is L4. There is also a zero chance you will get Senior Associate with 2.5 years of experience externally. There is no L5 senior Associate, that is a Google BizOps thing. L5 is Manager.
Recruiting is a pooled process and you interview for all open roles at the Associate / Senior Associate level. If there’s a mutual match, you’re then leveled based on your years of experience. 2-4 is generally Associate, and 4+ is Senior Associate. I say generally because there are some examples of people with 4-5 years coming in as Associates. There are however, zero examples of people with 2-3 years of experience coming in as Senior Associate. If you’re at 3.5 there is some wiggle room.
Total comp range is correct, benefits are also top notch.
I’m in the BizOps group now. Happy to answer any questions.
Any tips on preparing for the BizOps Associate interview process?
Honestly sounds like a fantastic gig. Given LinkedIns ethos, I’d be astounded if it’s not above market
