Londoners, in your experience, would you say that transferring to a different firm on a skilled worker visa is easier than applying from abroad? I have an opportunity at Big4 in tech, but to me this is a downgrade (no offense) but was wondering if it is worth it to move to London.

Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?

If I got a manager for employment claims’ position is it hard to pivot to an associate counsel role etc? What do you think the main difference between the two are? Is it a good position for a stepping stone to in house counsel?
