Looking at merging with another firm in NY. My practice in my current small firm has been mainly with clients in NJ which I doubt will travel to NY. Firm in NY is now saying we will pay some of your costs for your Jersey office (50 percent of cost) and then after 2 years wants me in the NY firm every day. Is that normal and there package will pay me about the same but I get rid of my administration which I handle for the firm and can be a lot of work. Thoughts on pay and rent cost?

I made an announcement during our team meeting that I'll be taking another job offer. My petty boss said, "Well now that we have a little more budget, the rest of you will be getting raises!"

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.
