I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. What projects are working for you on a cart? So far, weaving and fiber is going great for me. It leaves little mess in their classrooms and doesn’t require a ton of supplies on my cart. Supplies are also inexpensive.

Does anyone in this group have ADHD? Are you finding that working in a law firm setting and billing hours is just not something they can do or is it possible with the proper medication and therapy?

I don’t cut my hours, I consistently reach 7 hours a day, but it’s not enough to meet my firm’s minimum requirement. I’m usually working 9 hours/day.

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

I referred someone I truly see potential in and have also helped him with resume and casing. And he didn't even get invited for an interview. He stayed optimistic and passionate about the job, and asked me again for advice about reapplying this year. I don't know what to advice him. His resume looks good but didn't even get a chance for interview

Incoming AC at Bain, previously was deciding between Bain and McKinsey. But, ultimately chose Bain for the culture despite McKinsey being aligned with my professional goals of working in the government. I was looking on LinkedIn and didn’t find many people who are working in the White House after Bain, but found countless examples for McKinsey. Would it be difficult to try to transition to working in government after a few years at Bain? Any thoughts?

Do you always need an MBA to get into MBB?

Have full-time post-MBA offers from Bain big MCOL City and McKinsey small-ish M/HCOL city. McKinsey city is close to home and where I want to live long term, but I have really vibed with the Bain people.

How do I structure my decision making process?
