I hope you're doing well! I’m looking for a referral at TCS and already have a reference ID.

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..

Asking for a friend:
My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

Intl Tax folks, how long did it take before you were confident in your role? I've worked for the past 3 years in a practice that is heavily consulting based (inbound and outbound structuring) and I feel like I'm only just starting to understand the foundational concepts (where I can explain them clearly to clients) and offering a shred of value. Then I'll have calls where partners discuss complex tax, legal, treasury and other related concepts that all go over my head.. it becomes overwhelming

Is getting into McK India as associate possible
with MS in info systems and ~3.5 years of tech consulting experience?
Also what is the salary range for this position ?

Got an offer for SE III at a large tech company. Product I'd be working on interests me and I think I could grow more than in my current role.

Currently I make 180k base and have ISO/RSUs @ startup (60k/yr worth on paper, but won't be worth anything for a few years, if at all).

The offer is:
Base: $166,500
Target Bonus: 10% ($16,650)
RSU: 120k total (30k/yr)

Thoughts on offer? Should I counter?

Additionally there's a yearly target RSU bonus about equal to the cash bonus. Thoughts? 4.5 YOE

I recently got a job offer through a company that offered me the high end of what I was asking (75k) but since it is the high end of what I asked for, do I have room to negotiate? Do I have a leg to stand on if I even try negotiating at the point? I have til Friday to fully accept. I’ve never negotiated my salary but want to be sure I’m being paid fairly for this site merchandiser role! TIA

I finished my internship at EY LLP (Feb-Jul) after nearly 6 months. I've been promoted to Senior Analyst. Is there a set time of month that I must be in this position in order to be considered for the next promotion?

Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Thoughts in general?

Trying to get a better understanding of cost of living/ salaries in Los Angeles. What is a reasonable base salary for a senior accounting role in LA? (5years of experience, with CPA).

Any other hiring managers feeling like all of your candidates are asking for more money last minute just to see how far they can go? Like if we say the range is 110-130K, they say they’re looking for 135K, you offer 135K and then they say they won’t take the job for less than 150? Not even with competing offers. It’s hard for me to stay excited about wanting to work with someone when they do that. What a waste of everyone’s time.

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

I am currently working with TCS as PL/SQL Developer. I have 5 years and 6months of experience. And my CTC is 6.47LPA (Including 54k variable pay) . I have cleared technical round interview at Infosys. Waiting for HR discussion. I am expecting 13LPA (including 10% variable pay). Will they offer job with this package? Or this expectations is too high?

Hey Fishes. I wanted to understand one thing.

When you apply for any opportunity, how well versed should you be with all the things mentioned in a JD, like certification, experience, some tools and technology, coding language. Do you see a 100% fit before you apply or go for the opportunity if you see the responsibilities meeting your expectation and know only like 60% of the expected or desired skills.

Have you been selected if in case you applied knowing you meet less criterias?

At a high level, what is a better way to maximize returns?

file a few months in PA and remaining months in NY (about 9)
