I had interviewed with Deloitte UK consulting in June/July and was called by the HR team by the end of July that the interviews were positive and they're sending for approval for an offer to be rolled out. I was called back later in September and told that the role is on hold due to a hiring freeze. Is anyone else in this situation and have you'll heard back from the HR team post that
Hi Fishes, I am here to ask your help , i gave an interview to Tata Capital and selected for the position but the HR is not contact me about the salary negotiation or anything. Base is irrelevant. Total comp is what matters. APs make $350++
Base isn’t fully irrelevant.
It’s taxed advantages versus a bonus.
There’s the time value of money which you lose.
There’s also the risk of either leaving or getting let go which impacts the expected payout.
Okay so it’s not Bain
😉
Need more details, are you interviewing for an AP level? In solution, expert or integrative ? The comp composition is different across the three but they all cap at roughly the same Total Comp
So I’m not quite that level myself, but I think like $400-550, with the majority below $500.
But idk.
Total
~400-500 TC with 500 being the cap I believe. Base is probably ~250-300.
Base is 220-250 for mck
P1/AP1 - 300-400k. Pa2/P3/AP2 (just before real equity Partner): 400-600k. All figures include base+bonus+retirement. Base is “half to somewhat less” especially for high performers where VC is really fantastic.
The ceiling for EMs is ~$400k. I think APs make $450-600k. Varies widely based on Firm profitability. Partners can make 7 figures.
@OP- probably 4 years from b-school you would be a senior manager and with 6 years would be associate partner / principal
I would say the base is around $220-$250K with total comp being around $400K. I haven’t seen that many AP levels more than $450K
Hi all, thanks for all the answers thus far. I know a lot of you have answered in terms of total comp, and I completely understand that the higher you go the more variable comp becomes a bigger part of total comp. But again, I was trying to triangulate on the base salary - if for nothing more than just to make sure the offer is at the same "standard" base comp that MBB offers at 4-6 years out of bschool. Thank you again!
At BCG, you would be. Base is quite standard, by level/career step.
