Hi all,
I'm serving Notice period and last date shall be 13th May 2022. Can someone help me understand if the bands and compensation isn't release by that date, will that be adjusted in full and final settlement?? If so, what about the components, which all shall be credited in that FFS?
Thanks in advance.

You’re in for a fun ride. All those publishers on ascap are going to need to be contacted. They’ll each own a percentage of the publishing rights. Once you agree to a total dollar amount for the publishing rights that money will be split based on percentage owned. You can always bring on an external business affairs support to negotiate for you (team companies, extreme reach, etc...) and add their fee to your total budget. If you reach out on your own just have your ducks in a row as far as: usage, term, etc... publishers will need that immediately for a quote.
What DOP1 said. Going that alone is painful and time consuming path. Hiring a company to do that work for you can actually save you money in the long-run, as the right guys know fair rates and how to negotiate these deals. Try Yessian Music or Albert & Co. Both have locked down great deals for us on mainstream tracks in the past. Good luck!
Triple agree to Wool & Tusk! Aaron Mercer is every producers best friend for licensing.
Wool & Tusk can help
Agreed^^^
To add to Dop, If you’re just getting rights, call a shop like Yessian or Music Playground. Or a specialized IP shop like Greenlight. They specialize in all IPand can help with negotiation and reach out. Does your agency have business affairs?
Call Music and Strategy (MAS).
Thanks guys this has been super helpful!!!
Thanks posters! As this is something I have never been through is there a general cost that you have seen for third party assistance as mentioned?
