Looking for car seats recommendations for my 4 years old daughter when we travel. Preferably something not too bulky. Thank you 🙏

For the flight or for the rental?

Can you get one from rental company? Or find a Turo that has it included?

Otherwise the lightweight travel ones I’ve seen that still meet government specifications are pricey ($300-500+).

An alternative is to get a basic one from target (~$100) and a $20 bag from Amazon and check it with your luggage. Strollers and car seats are free on US airlines to check in.

We book the seats in. Have taken a super lightweight seat from Walmart once but now we take 2 dionos and a booster for my 3 kids (5/3/1 yo)

Chicco gofit. Just used it for a 4yo for a week in France and week in portugal. Pure gold.

2nd Cousin has a Mexican boyfriend of 4 months and is 3 months pregnant - did not have conversations with her mother or her sister, close cousins before going forward. She’s feeling the lash back of a mother who’s looking to influence her decision and get an abortion before she starts this life. There are definitely some red flags with the guy with his income and that he doesn’t speak English, curious what others would do - what would your parents say? Mine would flip!

Hi Moms. I’m 4.5mo postpartum with my first, and I’m having incredible feelings of resentment toward my husband, who I love dearly and with whom I’ve always had a great relationship. It feels like he’s not factoring me or the baby into his decisions (e.g. going on a 4d boys trip, attending big events), while I’m left with the consequences. My mat leave is ending, and he’s now sick with COVID. He’s quarantining at my in-laws while I return to work and take care of baby. I’m so frustrated… (cont.)

I want to brag on my kid, but I don’t want to embarrass him, so I’m doing it here. My college sophomore found out today that he ended up with a B in his accounting class - which is remarkable, given that he received a 50 on his first exam and a 70 on his second. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him work this hard - and I couldn’t be more proud. The grades that come easily don’t impress me nearly as much as the ones that are hard fought.

Does it bother you when someone you care about won't let you treat them (like on special occasions such as birthdays and stuff)? I don't know why it's upsetting me so much, and I'm trying to figure out what the root of my issue is. I'm getting overly emotional about it. It makes me feel like I'm making it about me vs. them, which is not what I want to do at all. On the contrary, I want them to enjoy whatever I treat them to, but this is all backfiring because I can't control my emotions.

Didn't take her out of the crib or anything, just turned the light on and patted her back. Turn the damn light off and keep it off.
