If 70 hour weeks give you cold feet… you’re not going to like deal team PE roles.
This is the right answer. If you want those exits, it’s 70+ hours forever not just for a few years.
If you want those exits, you will have to do those hours eventually. Now’s the time at your age IMO.

Good point thank you
Put your big girl panties on and do it. You’ll always wonder what if if you don’t experience it first hand.
I needed to hear this myself
Do it now, you can always switch out.

This is the time to put in the hours. LEK is better than ZS for exits but PE is still a longshot. If you're willing to put in the work and are serious about buyside better to get into an investment banking analyst program.
If this is LEK, 70 hours is not the norm whatsoever. That’s one or two weeks in a year type of thing. You would need to work until 11pm every single day. In reality you have out by six and early Fridays…
@OP exit ops are definitely better at LEK than ZS though especially if you're considering investment/BD roles
One consideration is a lot of life science investing roles require advanced degrees unfortunately:( Most people I know in the LS investing space have a PhD or MD since you really need to understand science behind the assets you're looking at if they're preclinical or in clinical trials
