Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

With off seasons you’ll probably average 35-40 since you’re not paid during firm holidays and closures. You bill everything worked, but work can drop off the cliff in off season. In peak season you’ll get much more than 55 hours so it averages out. Best of luck!
As others mentioned you still have other medical and payroll expenses to consider, but do you.

It should only be for the busy seasons and a friend of mine did this and worked 6-8 months out of the year and the money was about double of his annual salary and he picked up work when he wasn’t working for pwc with permission.

That’s awesome! I hope it’s better than you expected!
I would find out how much it will cost you to pay for medical yourself and see how things look with that in mind.
You’re assuming you’d work 55 hours a week. Some people on Talent Exchange have weeks where they work 0 hours.
Yeah - I’m fairly familiar with the group. We have three busy season (essentially). Averaging 55 a week would take into account about 6 weeks of no work at all (firm shutdowns, holidays, slow, etc…)
