And now I have to listen to their conversation.
Son: “dad you know what the best gas mask is?”
Dad: ???
Son: “A bra. Because you can use the straps”
*facepalm*

Kid is talking about bra. If he had to be babysat in Lyft, I am assuming that he was very young. So, shouldn’t me making such jokes. That’s the joke.

If he’s trying to make some money for his family, I’d go easy. Kid sounds young and child care emergencies happen.

OP learned a new joke. 😄

I swear!

Lol yeah it just took me by surprise. Not going to complain because it could just have been an emergency. The kid couldn’t have been older than 12. Thankfully it was just a 15 min trip

Think about the dad. He will have to bear him whole day and more

Had this happen in Dallas. It was a toddler who decided to unbuckle while on the highway. Mom/driver told him nonchalantly to buckle and he didn't. She ignored the disobedience; so I told him he had to buckle up and then did it for him. I'm not watching a kid die because my driver is a bad parent.

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. The PIP was mostly because I forgot some deadlines, but also they said I need to be more professional in emails (even though others use zero punctuation and a lot of emojis. To clients.) and simultaneously ask more questions and ask fewer questions. Should I just assume this is unattainable and look for a new job again?
