May I know what is the notice period if one resigns in infy during the first 6 months of joining? I am a lateral resource and they hired me in June, but they have no projects related to my tech and want me to take weird roles.. seems they are hiring to increase employee count and cross training most. just looking for options..

DC area audit S1. Making 91k base. Total comp for CY 2022 will be at least $100k factoring in bonus and the other random things that come up in the year (retention awards, referrals pending, etc.)
I tell recruiters my total comp and tell them it’s not worth leaving for less than 30% more total comp because of the difficulties associated with switching and because industry tends to freeze salary, so why would I leave for less than that?
I then state that I’m aware that the max for this market for 2 years experience is around $90k base, and that if they’re unable to meet my expectations to leave, that’s fine, because I like my job.
I either get told very respectfully “Wow. B4 have upped their game. Yeah, you’re right. I can’t help you.” or get no response because they know they can’t help me.
Wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon anyway, but it’s nice to know my salary is actually beating market.

Yeah. I was ranked very highly and my group had a lot of turnover. They literally priced the handful of people in the top of the group $1,000 above the max most industry jobs would pay for S1s. I’m not complaining.

Most senior accountant jobs in NJ pay $95k max while I make $105.3k as an S3 in audit 🤔
If you're leaving as an S3 it shouldn't be for a senior role, unless it's FAANG or something
