Pros-
1. increases your bandwidth towards your personal goals by your professional setup being in the same direction.
2. Becoming the face of the org. Play it well and you should get close to founders' table (become a key player/co-founder)
Cons-
1. IP. It will be a bitch to thrash out this contract in your favour due to very high overlap.
2. Burnout- if you intend to continue working on your project, there will be limited difference in daily activities, which means lesser change for you, means burnout.
Next steps-
1. Get fool-proof clarity on IP and your channel growth targets so that any conflict is resolved pre instead or post. Hire a lawyer.
2. Chalk out an informal activity calendar as you probably will have to think out 2 different ideas for similar time frames.
3. Crystallise your savings goals and begin prioritizing them (if not being done already).
4. When thrashing out your contract, remember that your personal brand should also have a presence. If you can't factor it in immediately, ask for contract revision after x amount of time. Talk to someone who works with agencies to align brand ambassadors to understand the legality, contractual, and financial context.
That is exactly where you need legal advice. I can't comment on it beyond this as I don't know the finer details. Hence, get a lawyer.
No I don't know you.
