So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

They’re doing the same at Walgreens and a few other places. Companies are not considering the needs of their employees. Maybe they never have. They no longer are interested in the best and the brightest employees, only those that warm seats. What town is TikTok located in?

Yeah, seems like a lot of places are doing this. Just saves them the money and time of firing. It's still incredibly shortsighted and cruel though.

I believe my company did this as well. They hired many remote workers and then 6 months later told them they’d have to come in office 3 days a week. However, many are not even in the same state as our offices.
