They get yelled at by more senior partners as much as you get yelled at my seniors/managers
There is more to life than being a partner.
How much they actually work and are pulled in a million directions.
They are not as high and mighty and scary as all you guys think.
They are very quick to ask others/consult, i.e. they don’t always have the answers and don’t expect you to.
That they know the answers to most of the questions they ask and are just testing the managers/seniors to gauge your understanding and to determine how much time they need to put into their review.
They are also wrong occasionally and appreciate being corrected if you do so discretely. Had one leading a client call that was trying to apply corporate rules to a non corporate entity that could have been messy without my intervention.
Your #2 is so correct! Politely and discretely correct someone higher up if they’re wrong - they don’t want to look stupid in front of the client either. Some are on sooo many engagements...I was about to enter a clients office for a sales meeting with a partner. We’re getting out of the car, and she asked - what does x company do?
That they let you do all the work then after you go to the effort of concluding come back with whole different conclusions
