Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

Non NY- M1,MC, non-mba (have one but not recruited in through grad school), 140k, 5k bonus, rated tier 2. Salary didn't change with promotion from SA3, and bonus last year as a tier 3 was 5k.... So basically I got promoted with nothing. Nada. No difference. What's point of promotion?
I have to admit for non-pwc peeps, this thread is hugely entertaining.
So I was getting paid significantly lower than starting associates and got a healthy pay raise (in addition to the promotion). My thought is yes, we all want the big raises because that's why we are in consulting over industry. The townhall indicates new hires and low people on the totem pole will be happier. It will suck this year, but for the folks who are doing "the exact same job" and getting paid $25k less that is rough for them. The folks getting paid at "the top" it is rough because they worked hard (I'm assuming) and expected the perks of consulting and a big raise. What it comes down to it they are now structuring promotions to be longer, paying raises to be industry type, and expecting the same hard work all in the name of "transparency". They should have been transparent and released the #s and said look we have to even folks out. We will still take care of those who kill it, but we have to step up the game and sell sell sell in order to do that.
@pwc32 or maybe they just do better work than you. Is that really so hard to grasp? You do understand that you're trying to compare origin and assuming the firm should make decisions based on origin, not the years performance. Which is impacted by origin, sure. But why should that determine promotion.
@OP no one cares who started this. It's an anonymous app, go find real life people to pat your back.
Don't be bitter just cuz you're at a mid tier firm
Hypothetical example - FS, SA2, NYC, MBA, 140k
hey guys, what is a CRT?
Y'all why would you expect people to scroll through millions of posts right now if results aren't open until tomorrow? Start a thread tomorrow. People will post their results and eventually it will get to a "top" thread. Right now it's doing nothing but getting lost.
Why do people continue to think practice and degree matters? 🙄 The entire point of the cohort system is consistency regardless of those things. The only relevant pieces of info are cohort group, salary, and maybe location bc I think they're doing slight adjustments
Can you please stick to the format peeps. Fill the grid.
You guys need to read the cohort FAQ. There will now be a separate grid for MBAs and other select advanced degrees. I have been told that the "other" includes JDs.
PwC 3 that seems low
From what I heard the seniors ranges for Chicago are 95 - 120
Waiting for Associate and Manager ranges
This is really not a useful post up until now
And this is why I think we should scrap this thread and post a fresh one tomorrow morning...OP I'll make sure to post my stuff first thing Friday morning when I find out ☺️
Risk/A2/Chicago/BS/17% base increase + 11% bonus
Cohort A2 $80k, expect low bonuses.
I'm actually with pwc71 on this one. SA getting bumped to M. I have a good network here, and this was a tough year for all firms, with a tough economy ahead of us. I'm appreciative of the opportunities I get here, and I'm ok if I don't get some massive windfall this year... The firm has taken care of me the last few years, it's all part of the ebb and flow.
10am tomorrow I will know my truth.
What about DC?!
