May receive offer from ACN MC and Slalom. Work type sounds similar and comp is almost even. Which one should I take? I value growth/progression, exit opps, & WLB. I’m early in my career (4-5 yoe)

ACN no doubt. You’ll get WLB at Slalom but not progression. Considering you’re early in your career, go with ACN

like

Don’t go to slalom so early in your career. Just my opinion but if you value growth and progression I would say ACN is likely better in that scenario because it’s a linear growth trajectory vs you could be a consultant at slalom for 15 years

ACN consulting is now Strategy & Consulting!

You’ll probs still be joining the consulting bit of S&C but I imagine transferring is a bit easier.

like

If technical, go to Slalom. Non-technical, ACN.

I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

Hello recruiters, happy Monday!

I want to know why recruiters ask me in an interview if I am looking at other opportunities, or if I am interviewing at other companies. If I say yes they will ask at what stage I am.

I just want to know the reason behind it and if there is a right answer to this question!
