McKinsey 🐠- is your immigration team extremely slow/non responsive in general or is that my experience? Having to send multiple follow ups to get anything moving

Recently heard a friend’s employer backed out of h1b sponsorship last minute (they previously promised her to sponsor h1b), and now she has to leave the US. Did you all have your employers promise to sponsor H1b in writing? How to avoid a situation like this?

My lawyers filed my h1b extension and amendment together even after advising not to by the v and I advisor. I’m getting freaked out. Any suggestions ?

Can I withdraw my L2 tomorrow? Is it okie if I am out of status for nine days? I am worried that the L2 will get approved. If it does get approved, what do I do?

Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. How does H1B visa transfer process work? How long can I work for my current employer after my visa transfer for the new employer is approved?

Does it matter if I don’t meet the specific job requirements when transferring H1B? The job posted requires CPA license but I haven’t got it. The employer is still willing to hire me. I know for PERM process, meeting minimum requirements is important but not sure if H1B have such requirement. I heard that for H1B as long as it’s a position requiring bachelors degree and specifically occupation that should be fine. But kinda worried about this.

- I didn't get selected in the H1B lottery.
- My company has agreed to send me to their London office for a year (haven't yet filed application).
- OPT ends in late June, so I can stay till mid-late August (grace period).

Question:
Should I just move to London as soon as I'm able to, or is it worth waiting until the end of my OPT in August in case they do a second round of the H1B lottery?
