Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Usually the caterers can provide a cheaper meal but it’s still something crazy…
Mine was like $50/person
Who said they need what the guests are getting lol

I get the etiquette portion but I have a pretty exhaustive job and don’t expect my clients or employer to provide meals. I know it’s not a popular opinion but that’s just how I feel. I’ll obviously be providing it but it’s strange to me that it’s a requirement in some places especially when the wedding budget is already tight.
I agree as well
If your client.wants a working lunch, they cater it in. Think of it that way.
They usually get a generic chicken dish during a 30 min break. They don't get served what your guests get. Ask your venue or caterer. They all know this is expected.
Heck you can have chick fila delivered if the venue will let you. The contracts just say you feed them. Do you really want your photographer and/or videographer running off site for an hour to eat? Ditto for your entertainment? Or better yet, the wedding planner who is supposed to be running everything? You don't feed anyone else.

It's okay not to be happy about as an un expe ted expense, it's okay to ask to remove it from the contract, was really focusing on the arguement of no one else gets a free lunch while working why should they. And lots of people do. No vendors who are on site for under 4 hrs should have that expectation. So makeup / hair if you have them, florist etc.
