@K1 it's allowed at Accenture as long as it's only used occasionally for personal expenses
I wouldn't consider Amex payments performance issues. Also, I would have to believe you were contacted multiple times by both automated (from Amex and Internal systems) and by HR directly to pay an outstanding balance that was several months past due. Would also assume your partner was CC'd on an email from HR notifying you to pay it. In that case, the non-action on your part speaks towards other aspects of your work which isn't good. Sounds like your more of a liability than an asset...As recommended above, change that for 2017. Good luck.
Being that it's in person with HR, I have no hope
How were you notified? What's the meeting subject?
It has to be more than that?! If you're all caught up then it's not a big deal
I am caught up. Can't reveal more details.
Performance issues as in on the project? Were there multiple warnings?
If it's purely AMEX, yes probably fired without severance. Since it's with cause you probably can't get unemployment either.
Hey a-hole @2! Read about three posts before yours. That's what we're saying!
Is there such a thing as probation for current employees?
Did they tell you to bring your computer in?
No but said they were expecting me to be working from office since I'm not at client site so maybe implicitly?
I thought you had 30 days to pay the account from statement closing date?
Would any company take me ? I don't think so. I can get referrals from partners but who would take someone that isn't holding a job at time of applying
If you have a good relationship with Partner or SM, maybe it's worth having a candid conversation with them. Perhaps it's too late now, if your meeting is tomorrow. But at the very least could get their perspective on the situation.
@PwC2 he said he did it twice...
If you're not liked for one reason or another your MD or manager can find the silliest of reasons to fire you. I've seen people fired for not locking their computer, I've seen people fired for being late 'too many' times, and I've seen people get fired because of credit card abuse.
I honestly don't understand how all of you on this post say you're late on your credit card payment a lot of times. If you can't manage your own little budget how are you supposed to handle millions of dollars in contracts for the company? Did any of you scan thru the T&C when you signed up for the card and gave YOUR SSN? How will you understand contractual contracts deliverables if you can't understand your credit card responsibilities? If you don't realize how your company gets screwed when you're paying your card late it's because: besides paying interest fees, late credit cards = late expenses = late billing to client = messed up cash flow = missing business investment and growth opportunities.
That being said, there's more to this story and the MD is just giving HR a reason to go ahead and show OP that he violated his hiring contract which is grounds for employment termination at will. Hope it works out for you with your next opportunity. We all have shitty times and they eventually become good stories so hang in there
Where's the beef?
