yeah not worried for anyone. If attorneys are good at anything it’s ensuring that they have job security

AI won't replace lawyers. Rather, lawyers that use AI will replace lawyers that don't.
I don’t, but only because I don’t understand it :)
It will eliminate some jobs at the margin initial due to efficiencies. But then it will add more jobs elsewhere due to new work challenges.
The immediate worry should be IT, ive started taking my tech issues to AI first ;)
Do you think congress which is full of useless lawyers will ban it eventually?

AI will change the practice of law but won’t replace it
Learn how to use AI. It’ll make you a more efficient lawyer, which will make you more valuable.
I'm a junior but not worried about it. I once used an AI to help me with my stuff. It makes your work faster and more efficient but it is not something that can replace lawyers or what lawyers can do. With some other professions I think it can be a threat.
A.I. won’t replace people. Just over time we will expect more output from people since they have better tools to do their job
It’s a fancy Markov chain generator, it can prepare a template for you but you won’t know what’s in it and it will just identify what’s most common in the training set for this predictive text generator. It can’t sift through to find what clauses are best. Any decent firm that had an ironclad automated forms flow would outperform it, plus you’d have QC’d the form as you drafted it, plus implementing would take fewer man-hours than it does to manually train and adjust and censor chatbots like chatgpt
ChatGpt is actual dumpster trash. There are startups focused on legal AI but the helpful use cases are very specifically tailored and require massive up front training investment.
AI won’t replace lawyers until firms figure out how to bill for it and not have the lost revenue
