Money Discussion (113K total comp 94fix+19variable), my partner pulls in another 50K. By definition we are supposed to be rich! But honestly it is very far from it, very very hard to think about buying an apartment /house or even a car. We live a fairly simple life, don’t eat out much, limited social spending, buts it so hard to save! What am I doing wrong ?

I had 50% in VT and 50% in individual stocks in my brokerage account but I just accepted a job from a Big 4 so I need to sell some of my individual stocks. I need to invest that amount in something else and I want to tell my portfolio a little bit towards something that’s a bit more risky for higher potential returns. Any suggestions on ETFs to look into?

One of my friends, he made a switch just 6 months back hoping he would get a better work environment a better package, but now he is just frustrated with the working environment, being a backend developer he has been asked to just fix bugs for almost 5 months now and that too in javascript without any KTs or any other trainings when he clearly did mention in the interview that he does not have prior knowledge on javascript.
